Make sure you pay for what you get. If the tail is complete (i.e. all grills) prolly in the area of 2000-2300. when times were good many sold in the 3K range.

+1. But used tails can be hard to find. Aftermarket fiberglass are really good too. My Getty Design / MA Shaw turboS is excellent quality, as was my prior fiberglass RS spoiler.

There are also a few aftermarket carbon fiber tails as well. Frankly if it was to replace a damaged tail on a TT I would go with a factory one, but if it was going on anything else (and I've considered adding a tail to the cab) I would go with a quality aftermarket one unless you get a smoking deal on a factory piece.

Curious, what would you consider a "good" aftermarket product. I'm am putting a tail, skirts and turbo bumper on my cab (inspired by the beauty of arena993's blue and yellow masterpieces). Does anyone have any recommendations of good fitment aftermarket products, as I'm not sure I can afford OEM....sad but true.

i bought mine from ma shaw. fit and finish were excellent. required minor adjustment with the shims on each of the mounting arms but aside from this it bolted up perfectly.
think i paid near $1k a few years ago.

I paid $1700 for the OEM piece... The only issue was that the prev owner cut a small hole in the interior of it to accomidate an oversized intercooler... That being said, it took about 30 min to unpack, and about 15 min to install... The trick, in my case, was the short-circuit for the interior raise/lower light... I think it was documented on p-car, but it was straightforward (once I found it)...
