First Porsche - allocating 60k for it, what should I get?

You never know that the future holds, so try and live a little too! 
$60,000 invested in April would be worth about $120,000 today. I guess it's just depends on your "picking point".
Like the old adaged goes, "It's not the 'timing of the market' it's the time in the market".

this will be my weekend car. I think like most people here, I am really a small sports car person. I love the nimble, raw, small sports cars. Had a few in the past but I thought I "grew out" of it and got myself the m3. Now I am missing that small car feeling every day. M3 is a great car, the best car I've owned, but can't say the funnest car.
Been longing for a Porsche since as long as I can remember. It wasn't a ferrari, lambo, or TVR or anything.. Just for some reason, it's always been a Porsche from way beginning, so I must have one.
So I won't be driving all that much, but this will get driven twice a wk (weekends) + some sunny weekdays. This will not be a garage decoration for sure. Not sure I will track yet, but I can see me doing that maybe a few times during its life. So maybe around 5k miles a year on it?
Depreciation is non-issue. I am keeping this baby for life.
And gas mileage isn't a big issue. It's just that I found it a little surprising that it's not that good. I believe 997TT gets 19/27? I always thought FI was "friendlier" on gas than NA, isn't that why BMW and audi are also going FI?
But sounds like overwhelmingly the 993TT has been getting the most votes.

You've left out the CarreraS from your list. If you like the original matching color split grille look, and don't mind the rear wheel drive, the CarreraS is one to consider.

But the reason why I am really considering the TT is that since it's the top of the line 911, might as well just go for it.
And for those who suggested GT3 or 996TT, I have no personal experience, but I keep hearing "this isn't no aircooled porsche" "oh that sound of aircooled engine", so there must be something very unique/special about the aircooled engines.

My $.02 worth. You live in Ca. There will not be many places/times (other than on a track) where you can use even 2/3 of the potential in a normally aspirated 993. I'd go for a low mileage 993 and enjoy it for a long time. My own '95 993 rarely gets into top gear on I-5.

You already have a 400HP car that can take you 0-60 in under four sec. You said you want a small sports car and that your first love is the 993. You also said you want a weekend car and that you may or may not track it. Based on all of this, I would buy a C2S if I were you. I don't think the 996 GT3 or the 993 Turbo are the right fit for you. The GT3 is effectively a streetable track car and the turbo is a high powered cruiser (you already have one). The C2S is light(er), nimble, rare and has the classic Porsche lines without the tail. The engine sound is muted by the turbos but you can hear it loud and clear in the C2S, especially with muffler and sport cat upgrades. The C2S will be more fun on twisty canyon roads than a turbo IMO. You can get a nice example for ~$40k, have plenty of cash for mods set aside and put the rest into your 401k as suggested.

my 2 cents, buy a $25k 993 or 964C2 coupe, put ~$5k of suspension & ~$3k of seats & ~$10k of trans and if you are still feeling flush ~$20k of engine into it and have a ball
