Bought mine, Targa, in 2015 with 142k miles for $38k. A relisted eBay auction I had been watching, that started with a $42k buy it now price. Rebuilt engine among other items. 162k miles now with new lowered suspension & and RS tail.

I just saw the thread title and thought, "What a fun/interesting thread" then I opened it only to discover I'm the thread starter 15 years ago. Hahahahah.
Still have my 993 C2S. 23 years of happy ownership.

Advanced
Purchased last week from a fellow Rennlister up in Ohio. Great 7 hour drive down to NC where it will stay. Been sitting for a few years but overall in nice original shape. Have begun cleaning it up, put new tires and turbo twists on and awaiting new top install (and eventual ROW suspension).
1996 Cab, 55k mils, 6sp: $60k
This is certainly not my first Porsche (previous 981, 991, 997, 987, 986) but the 993 has been the back of my head dream since sitting in a brand new cab at the Syracuse auto show back in 1995. Have always been a bit nervous about the age but just not much of a fan of the newer isolated everyday drive at high speed to get any sensation feel we get today. Excited about this next journey!

Wow, you have a good memory. I would never have remembered that but it sounds like something I would have said.. Because of course, all 911's should have a tail ;-)

September 17th 2004. Bought from fellow rennlister.
1996 C2, 65k miles
$33,500.
Current milage: 157,2xx
Just completed a full mechanical rebuild of suspension (all bushings, bbi RS uprights, kw clubsports), transmission (synchros 1&2 replaced, refreshed, wavetrac lsd), and engine (mahle 3.8, RS cams, ti valve springs, whatever else was needed).
Obviously my forever car.

Got my 96 C2 manual from original owner in 2022 with 100,000 miles. Paid $90K and engine was just completely rebuilt at 95,000 miles. Ready to go another 100,000 miles.
