Do you have a picture of the wheels in question? The contact I have in the Carrera Cup series has offered them to me previously, saying that they are a direct fit on a NB 993. One would have to drill holes in the centers though, as they are centerlock right now. Just thought I'd say this. Take it FWIW.
yes, I know that they are the oems on early 996Cups, they are drilled for 5x130 and are also machined for cntr locks.

Do you know for a fact that they work on lowered(to cup race height n/b 993)

I have used 9 ET50 on the front but it was extremely tight, these stick outboard a further ~4mm.

When I measure my wheel wells, wrt the current 8ET52 and 10ET65 there is very little out board room but maybe up to 1.5" inboard.

If not I may have some 8.5 & 10.5 w/ o/s that I know will work madeup.

"Do you know for a fact that they work on lowered(to cup race height n/b 993)?"

The contact I have in the Cup series says they do. Personally, I think they would but I'm, not sure.

As there are so many factors in this equation you can never tell for sure until you have the wheels with the tires mounted on the car with the suspension compressed.. You know this but how strechted the tire is on the rim will make a big difference. I don't know how "meaty" the hub on the back of the wheel is but if it's not drilled yet (still cntr lock) I guess you could always shave a mm or two off, thereby increasing the offset.. Your car also sits EXTREMELY low , which makes it a bit more difficult to anticipate fitments. Any chance you can borrow the wheels and trial fit?

Personally, I would be more worried about the inboard room in the rear.. I mean the rim itself decreases the inboard room with about 7mm. How much inboard room do you have now with the 993RS rears? I mean not counting the tires, just the rim. The rear tires would definately be more streched on the 11" rim, which will probably make them fit altogether.

I've been meaning to buy a set myself for the 993TT. The fronts are a direct fit and with the rears I would just replace the 1.5" outer hoop with a 2.5" outer hoop, thereby decreasing the effective offset.. These are no doubt very light and durable wheels..

Go for it Bill

I'm tempted to try a set of E88/28 BBs 9 & 11 ET46.5 & ET59, they are off a 996 Cup, if they were local i'd try them but it appears to me that while close they probably have o/s that is too low
Unfortunately Bill I'm a cheapskate and have acquired 3 1/2 sets of the 8.5 & 10 x 18 Veloce GT1 monobloc wheels which I use for racing......

Just measured the wheels whilst in the garage making a new battery box for the Race Motorhome, it looks like the BBS mag wheels are actually 9" ET50 and 11" ET62.

The width across the outside of the rims measure 254mm front and 300mm rear, and the distance from the inner rim edge to the hub is 178mm & 212mm respectively, should you wish to check my maths! By eye it looks like I need to allow around 3/8" or 10mm for each rim lip, hence the overall widths I estimated above.

Hmm, maybe I should keep them after all??

Interesting those appear to be a better fit for 993 n/b than the 996Cup wheels. Have you had them on your n/b 993?

I know that you know how to measure but just to be sure here is how

I've used 9 ET50 on the front of my car, they do work though it's real tight w/ a 235/40x18 .

The best fit in bigger fronts that I've seen is 18x8.5 ET56 245/35x18

I did a quick search and those wheels appear to be incredibly light and forged. Not as pretty as many other options, but seemingly a fantastic track wheel. Cheap too? Can we get them in the US?

Sorry for the OT!

Unfortunately they are no longer made, hence why I collected a few spares.

After searching around we have now found the nearest equivalent monoblock lightweight and we have been testing them on Marc's 996GT3RS. It's a Rays/Volks wheel and we've now agreed to be the UK agent for these on Porsche applications. The stock sizes are a similar 8.5 & 10 and will fit all 964 and 993 standard bodied cars, standard colours available are silver, grey, gold & black, prices start at £2310 for a set or approx £3000 with Toyo R888 (both +VAT).

Yep, we can get the TE37s over here. Sorry for the OT. There are some new OZ wheels that are really light, too.
