The link doesn't work, I looked up in the E_ATK_Katalog that I have and which you provided a screen shot of. For those that don't know E_AtK is a remanufactured parts catalog. According to that it is not an option but rather the '95-96 RS M64.21 engine or rather the short block for that engine. It does make sense that the shortblock would be the same for any m64.05 -22 that was originally equipped w/ RS cams, heads, valves and pistons

it says clearly on a porsche document that exchange part number 993.100.064.TX
is a short engine 221 kw 300 Din for

95 ----- M64-20 Carrera RS

96 ---> M64-21 X51

We all know that M64-21 is an ordinary carrera engine 1996 --->
So when it does 221 KW. it has a beautiful X51 next to it
on a porsche document.

in all the research I did for my car(1year)I discovered that most of the engine spec are from RS,like the iodium filled valve stem(I'm not sure about the translation)

I thought these pages from the Porsche Tequipment Catalog may be of interest here. There are two kits, one for engine type M64.05/06 non-Varioram and one for the M64.21 Varioram.

The M64.05/06 kit is just 102mm pistons and cylinders + RS cams + RS fan drive with or without A/C and is rated at 210 KW (282 HP)

The M64.21 kit is all of the above plus RS cylinder heads and valves + RS mufflers+ "X50" DME unit and is rated at 221 KW (296 HP)

Note that the pistons and cylinders used in these kits are NOT 993.103.915.42 RS 102 mm units but the 993.103.915.70 "slip fit" cylinders that go into a non-RS Crankcase. The RS Crankcase has a larger bore and does not use an "O" Ring under the cylinder but instead an "O" Ring inside the cylinder spigot.
