Default outdoor storage tent ideas?

I was just flipping through Excellence magazine at B&N today and I saw an ad for a small car storage tent.

It was small and not like all of the humongous ones I've found doing tons of different searches online.

Anybody know who makes this tent or have any good suggestions?

I may have to store my car in a carport for a few months and don't want stuff blowing under the cover etc when its windy outside.

I did see some kind of car "pocket" in my online search but would rather have something that doesn't touch the car.

I guess I can go back and buy that mag if nobody knows....

I have seen car capsules, but those are intended for indoor storage.

Just a thought can you lease a storage space? 3 months of rent would be less than the storge tent. I really don't know your needs, but the rental places are fenced, secured an most have a pass key or code to enter.

^I thought about that too, but for example in the Chciago area, storage garages charge about $150-200 per month for a one-car space, and very few, if any, would rent for only a 3 month period. If he buys the car capsule for example, he would at least own it at the end of the the 3 month time period for the same cash outlay.

It could then be used for indoor storage or winter hibernation, or sold to a Rennlist member for at least 1/2 price.

I have an outdoor car capsule and have had great success with it. (My 993 does not sit in there, but my Ferrari did!)

The fans inflate the capsule and constantly run. Cost of electricity is $3 or less per month. You can throw *****, run at it, etc and never touch the car. And it is dark inside. Many were suspicious, but I am sold on it.

Downside is that it takes 5-10 minutes to get the car in and zipped up perfectly. 2-3 minutes to get it out. You MUST have the car inside with a car cover. The zippers and fabric of the car capsule could scratch the car when you pull it over the car to enclose it.

I have a source if you want me to look him up.

Patrick, I'd be interested in a source for an inside capsule. Thanks.

Ok, here's the one I was referring to (I have no affiliation with them etc)

Anyone have experience with this thing or seen one before? Thoughts?

That looks pretty cool. Not sure of the weather there, but we get big rain and wind here. Hail is also a concern. I wonder if that would hold up during a wind storm.

It does look superior to a normal car cover.

I'd recommend this one:

No affiliation. It's strong and well designed.
