Default Ever notice how hot the pass rear fender gets?

Drove the C4S on the twisties today, and after I happened to touch the rear fenders and was amazed how hot they were ! I guess it might be the same touching the hood of a front engine car, but it crossed my mind, I was missing some sort of heat insulation back there.

That's where the oil reservoir is if I'm not mistaken. I believe the lines run along the passenger side from the cooler. Your front fender should be warm too.

Oil tank is on the passenger side, ahead of the rear wheel.

There are mufflers back there that get pretty hot as well but it would be well towards the back of the fenders.

My front passenger side gets so hot I'm surprised the paint doesn't bake off. In the middle of the summer when the car is fully warm (oil temp guage at 9 o clock) I cannot put my hand on the top of the front passenger quarter panel for more than a few seconds.

On second thought you may want to check your levels and determine if thermostat is opening timely to
allow full circuit pass..just a thought, warm is one thing ,hot enough to burn could be cause for concern.

That's why you can roll the rear fenders w/o using a heatgun

Do you still have your engine tray connected?
