Default Help me spend money I don't have! RS-GT vs. Fikse Fm-10's

Can't scrounge together the bucks to buy Matt's MY02's... but daydreaming is free!

What do you think, which 18's would you get (for a NB) if you had the means?

10s over the rs gt, but LMs over all. I think the LM and FM 10 are more of a comparison, they are both the same style wheel. Rs GT a little more modern version and I don't think it looks as good on the 993.

FM-10s look a lot better in person, kind of don't show up well in pics, or show up too much.

+993 on the Fikse FM10s. I came an inch or two from getting a set (may still do it later in the year.) I saw them in the flesh and they are super well-made and finished. And look great in real life.

Thanks guys.

I would also be interested if those in the know would chime in as to durability and cost/feasability of servicing wheels?

Cheers

iMHO, the RS-GT's are nice, but not as nice as the FM-10's. I also think the FM-10's photograph very well. I always thought BBS LM's were kind of the wrong offset for very low 993's.

depends on widths and available o/s's, I'd add Fikse 5 spokes to the list too.

Matt, go with CCW. John knows is stuff and turn around time is better then anything I have experience. It really helps when on the same coast. Let's not forget that his wheels are lighter then the 2 other brand mentioned above.

I am biased I know but I think it doesn't get much better than BBS e88s, just buy used. This is and old pic (2005) as the wheels are now red.

Lighter than FM-10's?? I thought most of the CCW's were heavier (albeit by what is, IMHO, an insignificant amount).
