Can anyone ID these wheels? Are they 18's?....I take it, this 993 is lowered...if so, how many inches has it been lowered....When lowering a 993, its done with changing the springs?...correct?....Is the ride harsh after lowering?
Is this a late '95 or '96 C2..
Thanks..

Those looks like RH wheels in 18" and car looks be be lowered 2-2.5". Just because the car is lowered doesn't necessarily mean the resulting ride has to be harsh...if done using adjustable coilovers like PSS9 or 10, or KW then it can feel just firm. My car has KW and I would not call the ride harsh at all.

Looks like it has been lowered to RoW Sport height or maybe a touch under. Ride height looks to be similar to mine and I just set mine up to 10mm below RoW Sport. This can be accomplished by either using H&R or RoW M030 springs on Bilstein HDs or by any of the coilovers that David mentioned. None of these mean the ride will necessarily be harsh. I am using PSS10s now set at a fairly stiff setting and I don't find it too harsh at all. I didn't find the ride too harsh on my previous Bilstein HD and RoW M030 turbo spring set up either and it was set up at RoW Sport height. Overall, this car looks very nice. And I'd say it's a '96 since it's sans basket handle that the '95s have.

Hmmm, that car looks rather familiar....
AG,
I forget the manufacturer of the wheels but if you call 928 International they used to sell them and probably can tell you exactly who makes them. They are 18's.
The car is a '96 and has Bilstein PSS9's and RoW anti-sway bars.
Ride height is set at about the middle of the range for RS specs. Two different very reputable alignment technicians from two different Porsche shops explained that this is as low as I could go without adversely affecting the car's handling since I don't have RS drop links or other parts designed for lowering it even further. Any lower than this and driveways would be very difficult to navigate. The ride isn't at all harsh.
Hope that helps.
