Yeah, I agree that is a great site to sell something. Problem is I know can find a buyer, at best, at $750-$900 on EBAY and to be honest that money is not all that critical to me. May sound strange but if I put it on Ebay and sell if for $750, we're done. But, if a bunch of Rennlisters decide that they want to have a go at a $10 or $20 ticket for the chance at this really nice watch, then maybe I get my $750 and a deserving charity gets a bunch more than that. Maybe it won't work but it sure sounds more interesting and beneficial than me walking away from EBAY with a few hundred in my pocket.

I'll buy some tickets if you decide to go that route.

Thanks, Helmet. I'd like to see if there is enough interest to make this happen. I think it would be fun and SpeedyYellow had a great idea with the charity thing. Maybe what I could do is start a list of those willing to jump in on this. We can hold off on any payments until we see if the idea really has legs.

How about we say $25 per "ticket" Is that too steep a price? Who's in? Let me know if you want to commit to more than one chance. I'll keep a running list in this thread. If we get to $1,500 we can decide that this thing may work and ask for payment. We can give it a couple of weeks to allow people to jump in.

It would be cool if we could give a real nice watch to a lucky winner and send a grand (or more) to a charity. Would be great if some of you can help spread the word about this thread.

Can anyone tell me about Rennwish? Would that be a good charity? Now I'm getting excited about this. I know we can raise chunk of $!

Thanks,

Steve

Just wondering how you going to draw the lucky winner? Will there be an official "drawing" party and if not will there be someone from KPMG as auditor?

Good question. I was thinking we could get our own version of Price Waterhouse auditors. Ideas: 1) I know there is at least one other Rennlist member in Milwaukee...probably quite a few. I'm new so don't know any of them but we could ask some of them to participate in the drawing and "sign-off" on the fact that all tickets were accounted for. I believe Parnelli is from the area. 2) maybe someone from local PCA would agree to help out. We could record the drawing and post on RL.

Ok so here is the Tally so far:
John velasko - 4 tickets
Mike (Arena993) - 1 ticket
Panchosouth - 1 ticket (did you mean 1 ticket or "same as velasko"?)

Hey we're at least 10% of the way to having a drawing!!

Spread the word. Still need to decide on a charity....

I'm in. Generous offer from 96TT and good ideas above. If I win it will be re-raffled with all going to Rennwish. WTH, start a perpetual raffle for charity.
