Default HELP!

For two reasons....
a) I'm gonna get flamed and b) I'm seriously thinking of selling out my 993.

I took the car out this weekend for a 200 odd mile run through some superb mountain and country roads in Wales, where it rains.. a lot, then sun not a lot.. fun having the back step out

Thing is I've driven these roads before in my Lancia Integrale Evo II (the daddy of all 4WD turbo's) and it would shame the 993, which incidentally has cargraphic muffles, Bilsteins, recent geo set up set to RS spec.

I was very disappointed, sure a 993 on a flat, dry road is 'uber' quick but on these great roads a hot hatch would be right up its chuff..

Extinguisher ready..

Isn't that the model that Rally driver Henri Toivonen died in?

chris, fair comment but I'm comparing Apples with Apples. A Turbo is north of 400 bhp and a price tag to match!

What do think as a comparison an Integrale/993 on country road?

g_murray: Nearly - Henri Toivonen sadly died in a Delta S4 Group B. 1.8 litre turbo and supercharged http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_Delta_S4

Integrale - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lancia_..._Evoluzione_II

to be honest, IMHO what counts on country roads were the pin head turns not the straight paths, and integrale was second to none.
If I were to choose between integrale and 993 turbo uphill in corsica or monte carlo for example, I would take the integrale

Why are you worried about the anonymous opinions found on an internet forum?
