The small picture looks like the wide oval tip to me. The ones in the large picture do not look OEM.

Maybe I don't know what wide ovals are. Here are a couple picss, one of my car with what I believe are wide oval tips. The other I believe is a standard tip. I know I looked at a lot of cars (more than 10) with the motorsound package that had what I think are standard tips when I was hunting for my car.
Let me clarify, my particular car has option X54 which is "Oval Chrome Exhaust Tips" and is on my window sticker.

It's quite possible I have no idea what I'm talking about (or so my wife tells me daily).

Either way, back on topic, didn't mean to disrupt the thread. Nice wheel upgrade to an already beautiful car.

Who is the best source for a replacement windshield for the 993? I am also thinking about replacing mine.

EPE gave me the name of a local guy in Boston who sources OEM windshields and installs them...Not sure he would be of much use to you in Ohio but i can give you his name if you want. Ihave to think Sunset can supply these...

Please do. Thanks.

PS I tried buying your car from a woman in Mass. You beat me to it, if it is the same one, which I think it is.

The name of the widshield guy is Joe Cameron (508 651 1554)

Sounds like my car. The original and PO was a woman who got the car as a gift for her 30th birthday from her parents...I looked for about a year to find the right C2S all over the country and low and behold it popped up less than 10 miles from my office. I ran down there the day I saw it on autotrader, got a PPI done and gave her a check.

They are OEM. My mechanic sourced them for me, along with the wheels and tires.

Sunset sells them for $200.

FYI - My C2S has factory motorcsound and did not come with the oval exhaust tips.

I replaced my windshield a couple months ago at 70K miles. It was very pitted and as a previous poster stated it was like looking through a shower curtain. I am extremely happy I did it.

There are many posts about replacement windshields and to save you the trouble of using the search function the only 993 replacement windshields made are by Porsche. I got mine from Sunset and it was shipped safe and sound to my installer along with a new outer seal.

My installer said there was no need to order a new inner seal and after 4-5 months and several thousand miles without any issues (squeeks/leaks) he must have been correct. IIRC the whole deal ran me about $950.

Rome, thanks for the tip on the centre caps. I found a set of those exact same caps a few years ago on Eb@y, and put them on my 968. They looked awesome until I noticed one went missing. I have been looking for a replacement set for quite a while. Didn't know Sunset had them. Thanks!
