My 'clock' is fine, thx.
(Is that what you were really asking? Don't Andreas or Cactus started....)

Yes, have seen that Gt3. Helluva deal. Still a 993 guy at heart though.....

Glad to hear you're OK, which is the most important... and now, entering into scavenger mode, do you have the RS front toe links and the EVO uprights?
But sorry this happened, and I hope your next fun ride is even better.

Guys,
Thx for the kind words, and for the circling vultures, I'll get an initial list together asap
I've responded to all PMs so far - will do my best to get a list together re. parts interest and order of vulturing.
I will put a provisional list of suspension parts together pending me getting stuff off the car and confirming condition (i.e. nothing bent).
I won't have the car completely stripped for at least another week, but I need to have it done by month end.
Nollie - the s/w is a Momo Mod07 and it's one of the few things I plan to keep.
Herman - kinda stuck on 993s, would love a '6 Cup, but not keen about the engine/tranny rebuild intervals (thx for your advice on this Steve).... so I will probably buy/build a more capable 993. The current RSR build post is, uh, yum.
Andreas - I have already started filling a box with your name on it. Right now it just has dirt in it, but I'm sure I can find some cosmoline encrusted parts to put in there....

In response to many of your thoughtful comments about having a solid "off".... I'm actually not very upset about it, and I'm itching to get back on the track. I hope to have a replacement sorted out by the end of the month.
Last week I had a friend doing CPR on his dock on a 33 yr old who was ejected from a high speed boat (> 100 mph). Patient was heli-evac'd, didn't make it. This week, got word that a friend's 22 year-old daughter has metastatic colon cancer - yup, 22 years old. One death in the 'shop' today, so by virtue of what I do, the message is clear and consistent: Life is short.
So, cars are great fun, the track is an ongoing pleasure and learning experience, and I walked away from this one .

I believe the current 993 clock value is inversely proportional to the ratio of the street value of crystal meth to Cactus' panty size, uh, times 6 bucks.

Matt,
Sorry to hear about your unfortunately escapade, I cannot imagine how it would feel? I was at Mosport in the fall of 1963, and it is/was a beautiful track... watched a trio of Ferraris battle it our with some AC Cobras, just the sounds were thrilling... about Ludwig Heimrath, I have a picture of him sitting in his Porsche 550 RS 60, after winning a race here in Alberta (circa 1961), My forthcoming article will be published in a book.
