Yes, I certainly remember you. It looks like we are 15 or so cars now. You never can tell though... we could end up with alot of cars, or fewer cars by showtime on the 13th.
Glad you can make it out again!

Dammit!!! Due to the labor day holiday weekend, they moved my reserve work weekend to the 12/13th. I am going to try and take an extended lunch so that I can at least come and meet some of you folks! That sucks, I was looking fwd to the drive!

(Arun, just call in sick)
Ok, I did this drive yesterday in my BMW and I tweaked it a little bit, corrected a couple of turns and distances, and now it seems to be pretty solidly correct. I'll have plenty of these printed out on the day of the drive.
Welcome to the late summer Rennlist “Meet and Drive”. We’re glad you’re here! Watch for Speed Cameras on some 30 mph (Glen Rd) and 40 mph zones. The Drive: About 60 minutes ending up at Hard Times Café restaurant in Rockville.
Go out Montrose Rd, pass the I-270 exit, and turn LEFT onto FALLS Rd.
Go 1 mile and turn RIGHT onto GLEN Rd
Stay on Glen Road (it bears left at one point), past Glen Mill Rd., past Travilah Rd.
Glen Rd ends, and you bear LEFT onto QUERY MILL Rd.
QUERY MILL Rd ends and you turn RIGHT onto Esworthy.
Esworthy ends and you turn LEFT onto SENECA.
SENECA becomes RIVER Rd. Stay Right to remain on RIVER Rd.
After about 4.5 miles turn RIGHT onto WEST WILLARD Rd.
Go about 3 miles up West Willard, turn LEFT onto WESTERLY Rd.
Go 1.5 miles, turn RIGHT on EDWARDS FERRY Rd.
Cross 107, it becomes WASCHE Rd.
Wasche Rd. Ends, turn RIGHT on MARTINSBURG Rd.
Martinsburg Rd joins up with Route 28. Turn LEFT onto Rt. 28.
In 1 mile, at RR crossing RIGHT onto DICKERSON SCHOOL Rd.
Dickerson School Rd. In about ¼ mi turn RT on Mt. Ephraim Rd.
Soon, turn RIGHT onto BARNESVILLE Rd.
Barnesville Rd. becomes CLOPPER Rd. / MD-117 For a total of about 12 miles as Clopper Rd (it bears left at one point) hits 270. Take 270 South to the Route 28 exit left towards Rockville, not Gaithersburg.
In a 1/4 mile or so, turn left at the light at NELSON ST. Go about ½ mile to the shopping center on the left where the HARD TIMES CAFÉ is.
Hard Times Café Review (on Yelp.com): 1117 Nelson St Rockville, MD 20850 (301) 294-9720.
Hard Times is definitely one of those places you have to check your diet at the door. On your first visit, ask your server for their chili sampler, they will bring you a small shot glass sized serving of each variety of chili so you can decide which one floats your boat. Once you pick your poison, you get to decide how you want it served...in a bowl, on cornbread, over fritos, on spaghetti...pile high with shredded cheese, sour cream, jalapenos and you’re cooking with gasoline. A few times I have ventured away from chili, but I always come back around to their signature dish. Just a little suggestion, their chili nacho appetizers is MASSIVE, so don’t order it thinking you'll have room for dinner unless you have more than two mouths to feed (also makes a great entree). And, if you get the Texas chili, be sure to ask for it dry. It’s MUCH less oily this way. Enjoy!

Enjoying a cup of hot java with a bunch of die-hard P-car enthusiasts, yeah I'm in.

The spring Meet and Drive was cancelled to to rain. Don't think we're going to have that problem on Sunday. It looks like the universe has aligned to give us a beautiful, partly sunny day!

Mark: Sorry to hear you can't make it but I certainly understand about working alot now. I now have ... a full time job and 2 part time jobs!
This will be my first Meet and Drive since last November! I'm long overdue for this. (our spring event was rained out and never rescheduled). Guess we won't have to worry about the rain date on this event as Sunday is supposed to be dry as a bone.
