Anything I can do to serve a fellow RLer in need! Here's a basic profile shot of Schmidtwerk's RS.
He was parked at an angle, so I adjusted the camera to tilt the rest of the world around the 993.

J,
Excellent photography... Wish I had known you'd be there - could have met up for a few drinks....
Anyway, thanks for posting your pictures - very interesting to see how others viewed the same cars I saw.
My favorite shot of yours is the the front corner of the orange & white 908 (?) a few pages back. Ay chance of getting that in high res??

Oh come on now...........you should know that's a loaded question in relation to IMSA in the early '80's. (Did I mention my friend who owns an IROC-converted-to-935-being-converted-back-to-IROC that was ex-Pablo Escobar. He also owned both of the Coke liveried Akin cars.)

One time I go up early to an IMSA event at Sears, circa 1981-2, and there's these two South/Central Americans who ran in the a-step-down GTO class with a Mustang and a Corvette. Their pit crew all had matching shirts--Hells Angels, Titusville, FL. Pauls, Whittingtons, Lanier, J David Dominelli (Ponzi scheme)........it went on and on.
And to clarify, the friend here locally owned the Akin cars at some point recently (had to buy them both as a package deal), not Pablo Escobar.

Gotcha....
I remember the Whittingtons (father and son). That's about the time I got interested in racing. I am glad I wasn't involved in racing during that decade.
Speaking of racing and my olden days. It was fun catching up with Hurley during the weekend. He is always such a gentleman and was a pleasure to work with. I'd love to work with him again one day.... ONE DAY.......
