Default Check out my new wheel!

I have got to get 3 more of these by Christmas!!

On a more serious note, here are my lessons from the evening:
  1. The factory jack sucks/is borderline dangerous
  2. My factory compressor works
  3. Neither it nor Fix a Flat will air a tire up enough to drive if you can stick 2 fingers in the sidewall
  4. Having a gray t-shirt in my car was handy, seeing how I had a white button up on
  5. The factory collapsible spare is pretty cool
  6. Whatever tthat was I hit, I don't need to do it again
  7. A rear tire is hard to get in a 911, esp if said car has a harness bar

For the future, I plan to have a big garbage bag in there with the spare. Apparently those spares are crazy expensive, can I buy just the tire somewhere? A cheaper alternative? This thing has to be getting dangerous after 14 years.

Upshot is I made it home okay, whith only a slightly less than amused girlfriend.

Hey, at least no one got hurt. I tried out the factory jack in the safety of my garage and was blown away at how bad it was. After coming very close to doing serious body/paint damage I gave up and looked here for solutions. I guess a lot of folks replace it with the Turbo scissor jack (about $100 from Sunset) which I'm still not sure will fit under my car. My mechanic, who drives a '95 as well, bought a nice scissor jack from Sears which he says works like magic. There you go, Dad was always right. If you want a good tool, go to Sears.....

Put another one on the driver's side and discover what oversteer is all about. Sounds fun, in a sick-minded way.

Is that how thick the tire wall gets when inflated!
over here(Europe) I've seen cars with space savers on, like ours, and the tire wall is pretty much the same as ours when stored in the truck about 2".

Nice retro look... how far you gonna take it?

3 more spacesavers and you're there.

Very 356ish! All is needed is the crested baby moon caps!
It's a good idea to keep several numbers for reliable flatbed transports just in case this type of thing happens.

My red wheel is bringin' sexy back. Ya'll don't know how to act.

I wish I had a rear shot to show how it looks compared to a normal 265 section.

New one is on the way. I'll try and post a pic of the deceased tomorrow.

Sweet. The red and green is kind of like a Christmas in August theme.

car still looks good in the pic.... adventurine green is a nice color

I wanted to get 4 of those spare tire rims and mount some studded rally tires and
do some ice tracks in the winter on a frozen lake... that would have been fun
