I just wanted to do a quick follow up. I bought the cord from the Porsche dealer(cost me $22 CAD).
Installed it last night, install was pretty easy, one side of the windshield was a bit tighter then the other 3 sides and need a bit more force to get the cord n there.
Anyways, WOW! I would say all the creaking is gone!!! I couldn't be happier, specially that the fix was to easy and cheap.
