Default Jumping into the fray.. Cab top ? searched

Another cab question, maybe someone could link me to a solution or just chime in.

Left cab motor continues to click after closing.. warning light stays on top feels closed tightly.. clicking sounds bad..

Is it micro switch.. motor recall.. please help

It is the motor that has expired . It is locking put slipping , there is a possibility at hwy . speed that the roof could " catch air " .
For safety reason I would not let go unrepaired too long .

Might be a broken micro switch or it is "out of place" and needs to be re-aligned

There is a gear inside the latching motors that tends to crack. A crack will allow the gear to slip under the pressure of being almost completely locked down. There is a diy somewhere on opening up the motor and changing out the gear.

It's a broken lock motor...there was a TSB a few years ago and PCNA paid to fix/replace the locks motors.

thanks all will look into the recall and try to get this thing figured out. Usually only drive the car with the top down...so I've got that goiing for me.

+1 on the recall...mine is broken. My wrench quoted me $750 to fix, so a DIY would be nice.

If recall not available, buy the OEM broken part replcement at Sunset Imports in Oregon for the best prices (cost + 15% + shipping <-- you can't beat that)!
