Just realized that this is the longest I've ever owned a car-6.5 years (my 993). You?

Well. My grandfather bought a VW bus in 1960 from the factory, my dad drove it in High School, and I inherited it when my granddad passed. Since it's been in the family it's still considered a "one owner" car, so......"technically" I've "owned" my bus for 49.5 years!!
Pretty cool trick considering I'm only 33 years old!

Very cool! How many miles do you have on the Bus? Has it ever been fully restored or has the motor been rebuilt?

In my 30th year of owning at least one 911, the first one was the one I owned the longest took it from the brown blob just after I turned 18 to the IROC/930 replica in time for my 21st birthday. Kept it until about 1990, when it passed along to my then-girlfriend. But she was making decent money, so I made her a nice Amazon Green 930 out of a spare '77 chassis that was laying around. I spent way too much time on that car. But that, and the black SC (4th pic) were a couple of nice cars to have in our 20's.
The vehicle I've actually owned longest was the pickup I bought when I sold the SC. Was getting back into racing and didn't really need a street 911 anymore. But its life ended on a rainy stretch of I-5 in LA when I was towing RSA #1 to a club race...........
Almost 6 years with the C4S, 5 years with RSA #2 and there's certainly no reason to "upgrade" to a water cooled 911.

OK, Terry started it but it's an interesting twist on this thread. The shortest time I owned an automobile was approximately six months. It was in 1976 when I had traded my '71 914 1.7L for a Buick Regal two-door hard-top. I know--what WAS I thinking?
It wasn't the first stupid thing I've done and it won't be the last. Rather than driving the Regal, it felt as if I was pointing a dangerous weapon. Six months was all I could take. The only good news was I sold it and didn't lose any money.
Lessons learned. No more Buicks.
