Default To those opposed to the ducktail

http://jalopnik.com/5319588/porsche-...ming-next-year

I recall some stating the ducktail was a failure thus the move to the adjustable spoiler, etc. Well, if rumors are true, get ready to eat your words.

I personally think the ducktail looks great on this 997 (998?). It really makes me reconsider a ducktail for my car.

If you described a 997 with a ducktail I would be opposed to it, but that car there in the picture looks pretty sweet actually.

In this global market, will they sell more than 50?

I really like it, but for the price, I'll get 2 2010 GT3's.

The new duck rocks ...

Our source with ties to Stuttgart tells us next year to expect a limited edition Porsche 911 C4S-based widebody Supersport, complete with duck-tail spoiler and double bubble roof.

This rumor, may be loosely confirmed by a second source — if we're counting a TeamSpeed forum post stating the same bits of information we've received. While not as hardcore as the GT3 or GT3 RS, the Carrera Supersport will retain the same C4S-based widebody, but will be considered a grand touring car rather more so than the aforementioned brightly colored track rats. We currently know that it will feature Fuchs-style wheels, a double bubble roof, a ducktail spoiler and will feature a primer gray colored paint job. The interior will feature a retro throwback brown leather interior.

No power numbers have been given at this point, but we can expect the very limited edition Supersport will empty your wallet by about £135,000 ($222,223 USD). We're lazy fixing our plumbing problems, so expect more information as it leaks out over the next couple months. [TeamSpeed]

It looks Ok but the price should be telling you that its full of hooey. Why would a non turbo car be
222K? makes no sense. 22k MORE than a GT2?

We need to see the side profile. The 3/4 rear looks nice definitely a different look.

interesting - I like the ducktail, but not so sure of the "double-bubble" roof...

Price seems really high. It better have some mojo under the rear decklid IMHO...

The roof looks like a small tree fell on it...ugh.

And +1 on the mediocre photoshop job on that pic.
