Default Yoko AD08 For the Track

I was looking at getting track tires last year and didn't get around to it.

The Yoko AD07's came up as a strong dual use tire and it looks like they now have the AD08.

Is anyone running the new AD08's. Anyone have a comparison between the AD08 and AD07.

My other option is the Toyo R888. They were at the track today showing them off. Looks to be good track tire with some tread if you get caught in the rain on the way back home.

Looking at yoko's site there are two versions of the AD08 Extreme performance and Dot R...

Falken Azenis RT 615 are great for your intended dual use.

Can't talk about the AD08's, but the AD07's are great, ton a grip, great feedback, & incredible turn in. The down side would be wear, they will not last very long doing both street & track.

I just ordered the AD08's from Tirerack and should have them on in couple of days. Thanks to you guys, it reminded me to check inside tread (running -2.0 camber)--turns out I was running on the cords.

Keep us posted on how they work out. Are you going to the track anytime soon.

I will probably track down another set of wheels and swap the track tires the night before and drive to the track. So not full on DD tires. Probably will still wear them out quick. I need to just break down and buy a damn trailer.
