ROFLMAO
Is this the worried old women website. The Porsche 911 is not a fragile exotic. It is a tough ***** that made its' name in ENDURANCE RACING. The energizer bunny that just keeps going really aspires to be a Porsche. Five years ago I moved to the Philly area with my 100,000 mile car. I've made ~125 1200 mile road trips since then. I'll hit 250,000 miles this month. I just follow the service schedule and change belts every 45,000 miles. I was stranded once when the alternater went. The only thing worth bringing along is a radial tire repair kit (a reamer, some glue, some plugs) and the air compressor. I have a 160 gig ipod (music, podcasts, CME lectures), a 2 liter carafe w/coffee (I roast my own coffee, Starbucks won't do), and a cooler with some fruit. Bottom line, the car won't break if you drive it. In fact, it'll be happy.

I always have only 2 things: the "famous" DME relay and a string to be able to open the fuel access door in case the cable brakes off when you pull the button to open it...
Enjoy your trip!

Put a hot chick in the passenger chair. Blondes do a good job. Bring some good CD's. Some 80's stuff goes well. Bring some snacky cakes and some red bull.
Drive safe.
Drive safe.

I'm feeling better already; I was starting to think I was a real slacker.
And I've always carried the tire plug kit; leftover from my motorcycling days.
