Default I love my underpowered '95!

Why? Because the engine compartment has more room than the Varioram models....

Neil (nsully) and I recently removed the Varioram manifold on his '97 in order to replace a rotted SAI valve, remove injectors for cleaning, run new lower plug wires and do a few other housecleaning chores. Last night, we reconvened at his house to set the manifold back into its resting place. We completed the task around 3:00 this morning...

We both consider ourselves above-average when it comes to mechanical tomfoolery, but I'll admit that we spent more than an hour re-seating the throttle cable grommet in the round bracket at the rear of the VR manifold. Holy smokes! Our gouged forearms are proof of how difficult we found this task.

Other than this hurdle, everything else is rather straightforward. As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed the event!

You need some 46mm PMO's to really clean things up in there.

Andreas,

For that reason we no longer remove the throttle cable at the throttle body end when we do an engine drop, we disconnect it from the gas pedal and slide out the cable completely.

RS heater bypass.....

There are two function to the blower fan on the left side. (1). To give a boost to the heater, more air flow through the heat exchanger besides just from the engine cooling fan. (2). To cool off the cylinder head after shut down to prevent heat soak.

I would still prefer to have the cooling off function for the engine.

Is this fan supposed to run after shut down? Seems like i'm missing this function now.
