Out of curiousity, couldn't the car be brought in under the US "Show and Display" legislation? I can't remember the criteria for this but I wonder if the RS would qualify.

Strict show and display rules exist, but the bigger issue that cars fail is the EPA portion which no car is exempt from.

Does federalization become harder year-on-year e.g.emissions? If so would it not get harder to import cars like RS into USA?
