Ok cool. But you recommend cotton cloth not microfiber?

Do you apply it in concentrated form onto the cotton cloth?

You can use it pretty much everywhere right? E.g rubber door seals, rear parcel shelf, centre console,
top of doorcards?

I've heard some RLers apply it underneath the car after a good cleaning (Xenit or alike) using the spraying method. Just to make it more difficult for residue to stick onto the metal.

Thanks for the tip, I hate the glossy look of the dash and I'm going to pick some 303 up.

I wouldn't use 303 on leather. Get a good leather conditioner for that. It may be okay, but I don't think I would go that route.

I use Griot's Garage Vinyl & Rubber Dressing.

I agree with JasonF that the Covercraft custom fit sunshield is the best. I know $50.00 seems like alot
but when your dash begins to warp and crack you'll be kicking yourself.

Hi Bart!

So if you have full leather maybe better to go with Leatherique on all the leather stuff and then use 303 on the vinyl? It does make sense since some RLers like to use 303 in the engine compartment for protection. I wouldn't be wise to use the same treatment on the leather.. true.

Does anyone know if the rear parcel shelf is in vinyl or leather if you have the full leather option? I would tent to think it's vinyl..

Thanks

303 is sold in boating supply stores.

For leather, I've used Lexol....best found in a Tack & Feed store...been used for saddles for years. And its about 1/2 price there vs an auto parts store. Many here are recommending the Leatherique highly...even over the Lexol.

For leather I use Surflex (colorplus.com). Is recommended by PCA concour guys and must be similar to Leatherique.

ACE HW Store carries 303 stuff, too.

Yes, no need to use the microfiber stuff. I use the cotton cloth, even pieces of old cotton white t-shirts works.

I like to spray it on the cloth until I get some saturation and then wipe it on the surfaces. This will ensure that you won't get any over spray in your carpet or leather. I never spray directly from the bottle to the surfaces, always through the cloth. I throw the cloth away after I use it.

I use 303 on everything that is rubber, vinyl, or plastic. I use Lexol for the leather.

The sunshield -- i.e., not letting the surface of the dash heat up to 150 degrees, or however hot it gets in the sun, over and over again, year after year -- is probably ten times more important to protecting the dash than these fancy-pants "aerospace" detailing sprays. I could be wrong, but dashes crack because of heat cycling and age, not because of UV rays.

That said, about once a year I use some 303 on my dash.
