In an effort to try and keep my dashboard looking mint, I wanted to see what some of you guys were using (ie: carpeted dashboard cover, dash cap, etc...), and how you like it. Also, if you have pics, even better.

It's been about 9 years ago since I did mine. I soaked it with a product called "Vinylex"...I probably spelled that wrong, but it popular, so maybe somebody can get it right. Anyway, I let it sit overnight, then wiped it off and it still looks great.

Funny thing...I was just looking at my post, and thought I saw a piece of dust on my dash . Thankfully, it turned out to be dust on my PC screen...so no worries

303 Aerospace Protectant is the go-to product to give your dash (and rear deck) some UV protection without having the finish look like an Armor-All bomb went off inside your car (i.e., it's not glossy).

I also bought a custom-cut Covercraft UV shield that I use every time I park outside that not only protects the dash, but keeps the inside nice and cool.

Others on the forum think that $50 for a sunshade is idiotic, but I've been through many cheaper versions that don't keep the car as cool, fit like crap and don't fold up as nicely as the Covercraft.

Keeping the inside of your car clean, using 303 Protectant, and diligently using a sunshield will keep your dash looking brand new for many years.

I have no idea what it does...other than it was highly recommended back then, and still looks great today! I haven't touched the dash since I put this stuff on 9 years ago.

303 and a good windshield sunshade is all you need.

Vinylex is a Lexol product. Works pretty well and does have UV protection. I'd probably go with 303 if you can find it.

I like Meguiar's #40 Professional Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner. Has UV protection.
Have not tried 303 or Vinylex.

I just got some Aerospace 303.

How do you apply this stuff? With a sponge? Can you spray it on? Do you use it straight out if the bottle or mix it with water?

My dashboard is wrapped in leather, does that make any difference or is this good for leather too? I figured why not do the center console and the top of the door cards while I'm at it?

I am going to try the Leatherique stuff on the seats and dash this weekend.

Apply it like any other stuff you have used in the past.

I like to spray it to a cotton cloth and then swipe the area with it.

Wait about 5 minutes and then go back with another dry cloth to get any excess off.
