How often to flush brake fluid?

I think Porsche says every 2 yrs. on every Maint. Schd. I've seen and in the maint. logbook with the cars, which I think pertains to street driven (only) cars. I do mine a little more often, about 18 mos. Just did it last weekend on the 993.

I was sittin' outside on my tractor, teachin' my dog, Luther, how to read when this flyin' saucer BEAMS me up... and inside there were all these funny creatures, with big yeller eyes and oogly skin... and they were talkin' REAL funny, like this:

Well all of a sudden it hits me! They was sayin' Miller Beer, only they was sayin' it BACKWARDS.
Well, lucky fer me I had a six pack of Miller with me...
and THEY JUST SUCKED IT RIGHT UP

WITH THEIR FINGERS!
And they said they was comin' back
*hummm*

Even racing, annually is way too much. I have a racing buddy who owns about 8 race cars and he advised me that to replace brake fluid any more often than once every couple of years is overkill. I do mine every three years. In fact,--I will be doing the first fluid flush next week on my 997S. (My pads are down .6 mm with 10mm to go,--with 38,000 miles on them.) (The benefits of PCCB)

Was leaving work and a friend called to ask what I was doing....long story short I end up at their house drinking Merlot and eating ridiculous chicken parm, sketti, and meatballs! Come home to wash the rig and drink some Swiller Lite cans...trailer park style!
