I do it every winter. Along with an oil/filter change and new tranny fluid.

I agree with Paul and Andreas - do it annually.

By the way, the PCA "requirement" that you flush brake fluid in between autocrosses is overkill, although I've never seen enforced. At least in Chicago, it seems more of a guideline.

Lastly, nice to see the three Polar Silver posts in a row, with the different camera angles...

Exactly what I do as well. New fluids every year regarless of miles. More of a timeframe thing for me.

There are some fanatics on this forum, as you're well aware...

I think changing brake fluid annually on a street driven car is overkill. IMO of course

The maintenance books for my 993 and the Cayenne requires brake system flush every two years under normal driving conditions.... If you have a six speed trans. you need to flush the hyd slave unit to....

My thoughts would every few years or so for street driving.....but my thoughts and what are the norm may not be in sync.

WHAT? Auto-X? How long are your courses? Auto-X does almost nothing to the brakes. I would not Auto-X if I had to do that every month, that's a lot of expensive brake fluid.

I can see in between track days, but Auto-X that's just funny.

I do mine every year, & usually after a few track days.

I will do mine every 2-3 years and agree once a year is overkill.

IMHO 2 years is a good time frame for normal daily driving and spirited weekends. Once a year if you are getting on a track and working them hard.

Thats like every 3000 miles in your case.

At the rate its driven, your car will live as long as a cactus.

It also depends on your local climate as BF is highly hydroscopic and in very humid climates can absorb more moisture. For people in mostly dry climates like SLC I's think every 2-3 years is fine.
