When I put down the deposit I just opened my check book and wrote out a check for the deposit. I made no particular notice of the check other than to write the VIN in the notes section.

I just logged into my on line banking site to see if they cashed my deposit check yet. While online I saw that they did cash it... I went and viewed the image of the check... I have attached a copy of the check image (obviously with my security related data removed). I had no idea until about 10 minutes ago this was the particular check used. Look at the check #'s

When I was "in the VERY early stages" of getting my current car, which, from the start to the passing of the baton (i.e. the 'title') took a good 5 months ...I kept on 'seeing' the number 993. It would crop up in the weirdest places and I took all these as 'affirmations' - even though they kinda creeped me out a bit - like someone was constantly watching over my shoulder -- very X-files like.

I don't use my checkbook as often as I used to, with online billpay for most of my bills. So it's not impossible, however I think I'd need to hit the lotto first.

A lot of places won't take checks with such low check numbers. It's a sign of new accounts, etc. and a bit risky. What did you spend ck # 959 on?
