I recently purchased a one owner, 4300 mile, 1996 993 Coupe (Polar silver/navy) from Richard Sloan. He had taken the car on consignment from the PA owner. I personally inspected the vehicle and found it to be as described. I also spoke to the 75 year old owner who validated Richard's presentation.
Having owned at least 12 Porsches over the years (my first a 1972 911T while in medical school) I know these cars very well. While at Richard's warehouse I browsed his inventory and found that he had many exceptional low mileage cars (1980 and newer). Dealers are always dealing but he really has some exceptional vehicles.

I have a Rainforest Green with Savanna interior and Dark Brown convertible top. Love the green, because it is rare.....My 2 Cents.

Learn to use the search feature here; lot's of threads on the subject. Some are good, some are not so good and some are in between. Always have a car inspected by a 3rd party expert that is not referred by the seller.

My experience turned out great, but there was some strange interactions.
I was really looking for a 86 930 turbo. He had a red on black car that was perfect with 40,000 miles and for about 35,000 five year ago. Overall a fair deal. The car was consigned, and had some minor modifications. I was promised the original wheels, steering wheel, pedels, shifter, headlight bezels and OEM exhaust. Those items were never given to me by him. Then the story gets stranger; while deep sea fishing I get a call from a contract concrete company owner in NY asking if I bought the car. I told him yes I bought it 6 months ago. Turns out the guy never got paid, he was a good guy and he and I worked together to file a report and I sent him copies of all the sales docs. and he did get his money. Richards final excuse is that he was holding the guys money for a future purchase which was BS. Since I worked with the guy in NY he sent me tons of OEM parts, he even paid for shipping.
I love the car and THATS why I say it turned out great.

BTW new to site.

That is jacked up. To think he was "holding" this guy's money for months and then had the lame excuse of putting it towards the next car.

JRwest, you're not thinking of that orange 997TT are you? Way overpriced but you got great taste.

Default Disappointed

I attempted to purchase a 96 TT from Sloan last fall. The car was represented as a two owner with 31xxx miles. I agreed to the purchase price and signed a buyers order pending a PPI from the local Porsche dealer. I found the car had been registered by four owners and received a very unfavorable result from the PPI. Needless to say, I walked from this deal. Buyer beware.

I bought a car from Sloan back in April, 2014. If you want some dialogue then send me a private email with you phone number and I'll walk you through my experience.

For what it's worth, I just completed a sales transaction with Sloan. Overall very good experience. My car was a very easy sell.

But regrettably not so easy a purchase for the next enthusiast.
