Default Has anyone dealt w/purchasing a Porsche from Richard Sloan in CT?

I am considering buying a 993 from Richard Sloan of Sloan Cars in Ct. I have spoken with him several times and he seems very knowledgable about 993s and is willing to answer all questions. Has anyone here bought a vehicle from him recently and how was your experience? I did a search and found older posts w/various opinons. Thanks in advance.

He has a 95 993 Cab that is green I am interested in. Can you tell me how clean it is if you have a chance to look at it?

I would think you'd get a particularly great deal with that color combo as it's not extremely popular.

Good luck with your search. He has some amazing and expensive cars

You can generally get a better deal on the green. Sloan has a great reputation, but haven't dealt with them personally. I think Holt might have a green one too...

Sure thing, I know the car. I love Adventure Green, it is more like a gray.

This is so true. I feel the same way about the Mini, I love them in every color.

ive had several discussions with richard. Remember, he is a dealer and does not own the cars. He initially tried to lead me to believe he was very well capitalized and owned his inventory as a private collection. Just proceed with caution, but he does have some nice low mileage cars.

Yeah, he "gilds the lily" quite a bit. When I was looking a few years back he tried to impress me too much. That sets all of my due dilligence red flags flying.

I enjoyed a very positive experience working with Richard Sloan. While I did not purchase a car from him, I did sell an older 911 to/through him. Very personable, very knowledgeable. He is a businessman. If I was in the market, Sloan Cars is one of the first places I would look. Your visit should be well worth it just for the inventory.
Good Luck,
Neil

"throw a perfume on the violet" I guess we are guilty at one point or another, all is not lost.
