Pollen filters and a Cabin filter?

I'm missing something?

Where is the flat rectangular cabin filter located in the 993?

I just replace them as Porsche prescribes. Part of regular maintenance.
Why they exist on a cab? Because here in European climate, cabs are closed for several months and its good to have the interior ventilation air cleaned a little.

There's no rectangular version, and my guess is there is no activated charcoal version of our two round filters, due to limited market.

On my daily driver Honda. Pics were submitted for comparison purposes only, since I didn't have one of my 993 cabin air filter.

Interesting older thread and ironically one of the reasons I targeted getting a 993 instead of another 964. The 993 was the first generation Porsche with a pollen filter. I see many benefits including keeping that crud (just look at some of those before / after photos) out of my personal intake system (and lungs) and keeping the car clean inside. I can't stand having the windows open and I quite honestly don't know if my sunroof opens. That's just me, but any other allergy sufferers out there know what I'm talking about...
