JPS,

Did you check out the dealer's photo of the trunk? Junk thrown in there, taped up weatherstripping, CD changer mounted on the right side? Looks like a real "2 owner mint condition" car alright.....

Noticed you are in NYS. Give Autoplace Porsche a call in WIlliamsville (Buffalo). They sell a lot of Pcars and may know of something. 716-633-5200. Brian Culligan is the owner. Great guy.

Good luck with your search.

I'll call him, thx. I think the "junk", btw, is the boot cover for the top when down, and the "tape" is likely velcro tabs that attach to the carpet. However, I don't recall mine going over the weather stripping, so something may be a little funky there, not sure. As to the CD changer, I've never had one, so not sure how that should mount?

Factory 6-CD mount is on the left side, above the battery. The CD changer should be covered by a 'bootie' - same material as the trunk liner.

Huh- my changer is also mounted on the right. Terrible place for it as anything you put in the trunk will slide into it.

Hey JPS - I don't have the links, but I saw a couple dark blue/cashmere cabs in the NY area on Cars.com.
Have you checked those out?

My factory CD changer is also mounted on the right and covered by the 'bootie' in trunk material. Did Porsche change the mounting location after MY 95?

right = pass side
left = dirver's side

could that be the confusion?

Agreed, the tape in that pic is a little disturbing.
And it looks like the carpet is set up for the CD changer to be on the DS... the cover appears to be there. But it is mounted on the Pass side? Odd...

There is nothing special about that car which would make be want to pay above market on it.

Agreed that it looks tatty in the trunk. The velcro must be missing on the trunk carpet and it was taped in place. Hopefully the major issues have not been repaired in the same fashion! Can an RMS leak be repaired with duct tape?
