Hey Chuck,

I talked to Richard and Tim Holt about the market and I priced the car where I could let it go and still feel OK. I am sure that I could have put it up for more and negotiated down but I figured just list the price I needed to get to let her go. I still am going to go out and see Richard, he is such a nice guy and he may be able to help me move into a similar condition c2.

talks soon.

nice car with low miles..... i would install the 993 wheels for pictures.... 993's with 996 wheels tend to look like theft recovery vehicles at first sight....

Daryl,
2 Questions:
1. Made peace with your wife?
2. Why pricing it at the selling price, if anyone will try to squeeze you like an orange?? Price it with room for negotiation, otherwise you'll sell it below your price. And that's all downside. You'll lose the car, be unhappy with the price you got, and the wife will still complain.....
Price it very high, nobody will buy it, and you can assure to your wife you've tried to sell it very HARD!!
Good Luck, and I hope you keep it.

Hi Bola964,

1. We are good, I actually really regret making that original post it was kind of a Larry David moment. The post did come off that she was making me move this car. In reality she is cool and would never force me to do anything I do not want to. That being said I do have two cars that are not getting driven that much and aspirations to get back to NYC.

2. I under stand most people ask for more and work their way down. I just listed for what it will take for me to sell. I am not too worried about getting squeezed because I have put all the cards on the table, 42500 is the price I would let it go for.

Thanks for the goodLuck, who knows I may keep the 993 it is a really nice car.

Hi Daryl,
I used to live in NYC, and that was when I got my C2S Tip. We also had a 96 Discovery SE7 at the time, and it just worked fine. In the winter we drove the Disco, in the summer we used the C2S..... You would have to get rid of the WB beattle though......
I hope that helps!
you see, we don't want you to part with the C4S

A Land Rover and a 993 do make a nice combo, they are like polar opposites.

Now you have me thinking, I never really considered selling the Bug but that is another option. It is not very safe and I will never take my kids in it.

Thanks for the happy thoughts.

Daryl,

Good luck with the sale of this beauty. I'm in the price is much too low crowd as well. That said, you shouldn't have any trouble selling her.

Thanks for the good luck. I was just out in the garage sitting with the 993 and the bug. That 993 is calling to me not to let her go, they really are amazing cars.

^Man, for ME, that would NOT be a tough decision. Different strokes, though.

I do see your point, of course the 993 is better car in every way. The 993 is a master piece of rolling art, the perfect balance of modern and classic. I guess it is something about building a car from nothing that makes you have a strong personal connection to it. This is why I was playing around with the idea of getting a c2 and building it up.

It is kind of odd, this morning I keep going back into the garage and staring at the 993, it must me love.

Much better pics, man, but you should take some of the interior as well.

Best of luck to you in the sale of this beauty.

I remember talking with you on the phone about 993's before we both had purchased. Sorry to see your letting this one go...but you'll get another, and there will always be another one out there. Your price seems in line to me.
Your 993 was from a race team owner IIRC ?
