Default where do i find "chestnut" carpet

where can I find some "chestnut" colored carpet to match the part that has worn out in my car? Porsche calls it chestnut, although it is really a maroon....

I haven't bought any but have searched for German Sliver Knit carpet samples online. My interior is called Chestnut but the carpet is actually Boxster Red as far as I can tell. http://www.kristkustoms.com/porsche.html

That's the color that my local shop found that was the closest, but it is not it. Very frustrating....

Boxster red has more orange in it than Chestnut.

Good luck in your search. I may have to follow suit with my chestnut interior some day.

There are other issues like fading and dye lot variations to think about too. I couldn't find any other color that was even close.

I'm guessing you already checked with Gahh? (check the website for carpet)

I can't even imagine trying to match the now-faded Chestnut in my C4S. Which piece do you need?

The carpet that goes from the driver's side door sill down to the floor. The carpet isn't fade, amazingly enough (compared to parts that are hidden).

Here is a pic of my interior. Is this what you have? If so, you might be interested to see if the Boxster Red carpet I ordered matches. It's attached to a pair of Rod Birch's subs (Car Audio Innovations)which I'll have in about 3 weeks although they might arrive while I'm on vacation into July. Based on this pic Rod thought it was the correct color. I declined to get his swatch book to verify this.

So did it match yours or don't you have it yet? I'm confused...

Yours does look the same as mine. This is my interior:

Your interior does look the same as mine. No I haven't received the subs w/Sliverknit Boxster Red carpet yet. It's touch and go whether I will get them before my vacation or not. If you check back with me later in the month I would certainly be glad to let you know my findings.

Chestnut Brown and Boxster Red are very different side by side. Way more brown in it than you think.

If you do find some please update this thread as I need some for my 968.

Chestnut brown is just the name of the color scheme as far as I know. The seats are red but do have brown in them as opposed to Boxster Red seats that have more of an orange tinge. I am not aware of a Chestnut carpet. If you find pics of a Boxster with the Boxster Red interior the carpet looks to be the same as mine.
