Default BIG THANKS to FisterD & MarkD - Clear Stone Guards Installed

My stone guards were in pretty bad shape, so I took the plunge and ordered a set of clear Stone Guards from FisterD/MarkD. Upon arrival, they followed up with an email with a few tips to remove and install the Stone Guards.

I actual didn't have much of a problem removing the old stone guards. Removing the driver side guard revealed a clear stone guard, and a silver stone guard on the passenger side. I'm surprised I didn't notice this before, but I never really gave that much attention to them.

After cleaning up a little left over glue residue it was time to start the install. As FisterD/MarkD have mentioned, take your time with the new guards, and keep your fingers wet if you have to handle them. I'd say to get them both on and cleaned up it took about an hour. Pics are below, sorry no before shots.

Nice results. This and new headlight lenses go a long way to make any 993 look younger.

Looks great. Congrats.
I got a pair of stone guards waiting to go on. I don't have any protection and I have some stone chips where the guards should be. I'm thinking I'll just put the new guards on - or shall I get the paint work fixed up ? Don't really want to spend lots of cash on some stone chips. What do you guys think ?
Cheers

Cool, glad it went well Andy!

It's amazing how they almost disappear when they are clean and rock-hit free.
Thanks for the nice comments

The next thing I'll be purchasing from you and Mark is probably the sought after "Golden Rod".

I get more compliments on the wheels then I do the car now LOL, they just need to be cleaned up, they are quite dirty!

Let's hope he's not. Later this year my wife and I are making a trip his way to meet him and hopefully Mr. Cactus. should be a good time. When I get close enough to his house, I'll probably have to pull over and dust off the car so I don't stick out like a sore thumb.

Oh and when you're ready for a set of Forgeline's give me a shout, I'm good friends with the owner!

Andy
