Default 295's on MY02 wheels??

Anyone running 295/30/18 on their MY02 Carrera lightweight wheels? If so, what are your opinions? Any pics?

Thank you

I'm running 285s and get some rubbing, even with rolled fenders. My car is between RS and ROW ride height.

Sorry I'm running 285/30/18 on my MY02's. It's possible from what I hear to go to 295's, but not without some the caveats in the post above, i.e. some may experience rubbing, some may have to roll the fenders, etc.

I'm running 285's with no issues, Car is lowered and has PSS-10s, TRG sways. Here's a shameless pic of my C4S

Don't screw with a good thing. These two photographed cars took terrific as they are!

Are you finding that you need more grip, and the only thing that will get you more is to switch from 285's to 295's?

Thank you
I have 235/285 Toyo Proxes on mine. Unless you are racing/tracking your car, IMHO 1cm on the rears is not going to make much of a difference in performance (it might make a difference in the front though) so its going to be more for cosmetics reasons. As far as clearance you also need to consider the brand and not just the size, as not all 295s are equal and some may be the same widths as 285s or can be much wider. Also the shoulder profile can also affect whether they fit with no issues.

I've had about 5K miles or better with 295/30/18 Kuhmo SPTs on my NB '97 with MY02 wheels. I'd need to take a picture, but I like them. I'm running PSS9s and a ride height between ROW and RS. I had no rubbing, but it was very close. (The black cars are wider?)

I did just have the fenders rolled to fit new track tires though, so now there's even more room.

^^^^ What he said.

When lookng at 295s, check the actual diameter and section width in the tire specs. Tire Rack will show all these. As I recall, the SPTs were some of the "smallest" 295s, close to some mfg 285s.

They do look pretty cool, though. When I had mine mounted, the shop though they were for a Cayanne!

Thank you for the replies and the pictures! Any more pics would be greatly appreciated. Looking for every last bit of traction I can find.

If the 295's you install are the same width as some other 285's, how does that provide you better traction? Wouldn't you be better off focusing on the tire selection than the size?

Default 295's

I am running 295 30 18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2's in the rear.

The fenders were rolled due to the fact that the PO fact 11's with the wrong offset on them when I bought it!!

I have PSS9's and it a tad higher than RS height.

There is PLENTY of room. I could go a little wider if I really wanted too!!

Are these even going on a 993, or the 944 and you are just asking because you know we run them? Rear camber will also make a difference in fitment. 6 litres would definitely need a lot of rubber to put the power to the ground.

Hi Bart- You're correct, these are for the 944 and I was asking because I thought they were a popular upgrade here.

Randy- BEAUTIFUL!!

I see some indicating these came in 9" front width. Is this true?

Thank you gentlemen!
