I think the people who own Total 911 also own GT Porsche...There is an article in there this month called 993 v. 996. Guess which wins?

The GT Porsche issue has hit the newstands here. Picked up a copy on Saturday, and headed to the back deck with an appropriate beverage.

My Total 911 isn't here yet, can't wait. The cover looks good, some pretty sweet looking articles.

I recently subscribed to GT Purely Porsche. I read the 993 vs 996 thing and found it pretty lame... particularly the comment about the 996 RMS issue "leading to catastrophic failure if not properly maintained" was amazingly innacurate on many levels. I suppose if you let all of the oil leak out that would lead to catastrophic engine failure... so, technically it is accurate. The real issues that have caused engine failures were not even mentioned.
Seems like they were more concerned with selling the car in the article at at least not hurting the sale.

I expect more from a mature Porsche mag. Ah well, pretty pictures!

I mailed out 10 issues today via USPS. I have a few copies left so if you emailed me and haven't heard back yet, you probably will tomorrow.

Where Dan? Hang on to your copy of total 911. I may need to borrow it someday! Good to see you at lunch!

Patrick, good to see you and Tony and Brian, too. It was the one on University just off I-30 in Ft. Worth. That probably doesn't do you any good, but I would assume any of the Barnes & Nobles in Dallas would have them now, too.

+1.

But I'll collect anything that comes out on the 993, for insertion in the binder...
