Leaving on a road trip Wednesday morning. Roundtrip from Western MI to Jacksonville, FL and back. On the way down we will go through Cincinnati, Lexington, Knoxville, Gatlinburg, & Augusta. We will probably spend a night somewhere around Gatlinburg. So just wondering if my porsche friends have any great ideas for spots to stop along the way for a meal, to stretch, or a spot to spend the night? May stop at Greenbrier in WV on the way back.

When you go through Knoxville, take rt 411 and then on to rt129 (the dragon) 315 curves in 11 miles. I'm on my way now and will be there tomorrow. Good luck and travel safe

You gotta visit the Tail of the Dragon, my recollection is it's 318 turns in 11 miles, but no matter, it's total fun.

I'm not sure what it's like at this time of the year though. I've been there twice, once in April and once in October. Not many tourists at that time of the year, and you could drive up to your limit if you wanted (I kept it at 9/10's of my limit, which is likely 5/10's of most).

It's a must do for any road trip where you're close... give it a try.
