Agree on the Polar silver, the car looks so solid in that hue, I tried to buy a polar one a few years ago, but it sold very quickly...They do not hang around for long!

Shouldn't be too hard to tell.
Here is range of RS chassis prefix,
Production for 1995, WPOZZZ99ZSS390001 to approx 224.
Production for 1996, WPOZZZ99ZTS390001 to approx 790.

Yes, its the real deal. Actually the second set of number for 1996 RS cars goes into the 900 range, for sure the upper 800s. I have seen #844 and #847. The numbers include M002 (basic) M003 (club sport) and Cup models. No variation exist in the VIN for the above models.

It has all the little bits a conversion does not really need to do. Thanks Jeff.
But I need the tranny number to e-mail porsche with the VIN and the engine number.
My comment though is that it weighs in at 1550kg. Even with its aluminum hood, thin glass, thin carpeting. But it has a/c, and power window.

Mine has power windows and A/C. The A/C is very little weight, its got a tiny compressor, aluminum lines and fittings, and a tiny condenser. The whole lots with power windows might not even break 50#s. The transmission # and type is on the bottom of the gearbox, you will see a flat area. You will have to wipe it off and use a mirror to see it. I will email you a photo of mine so you know where to look. No question yours in the real deal. You need to find that sticker in the service book, its worth its weight in gold.

No way does a 993RS weigh in at 1550kg, unless it has a couple of heavy people sitting in it.
My '95 993Cs with a/c and obvioulsy full cage weighs in at 1280kg with 1/2 a tank of fuel, I have seen a fully option equiped 996TT weigh in at 1520kg and more recently a road registered 993 cup weigh in at 1120kg.
The weigh bridge used is at a major UK race circuit and when I stand on it alone, it overstates my own weight by 1-1.5kg compared to those at gym/home, so seems to be reasonably accurate.

BEAUTIFUL CAR rivi!
Do you know off hand if your car has that textured "chip guard" under the paint in the areas I marked?
Too hard to tell from the photos.
I understand it to not have it at the base, but the inside arches, yes?
Another question: When you look under your wing, did the factory paint over the black gel coated panel
the Turnwald serial number is on or is it still left with the black gel coat? Or, paint to the cast mark shown with the arrow?
THANK YOU
