Thanks Bob.
One more. I have the disc installed along with the PP, but I didn;t like the installation. The disc would only fit with the "thicker" inner portion towards the flywheel. The PP bolts were not long enough to grab the flywhlle, so I had to use a couple of olonger ones to pull it in and then install the PP bolts.
Does that sound right?

Correct. The spring pack goes into the recess in the flywheel. Did you use new PP bolts? You should be using N014 715 3 with the RS setup. Also, how did you install the starter ring gear? The recess on it goes towards the PP (flat side towrds the flywheel).

Cool. You'll love the LWF. Single biggest motor type performance improvement you can do to a 993 for the money...

Bob confirmed for me the orientation when I put mine together as well...thanks Bob!

I like the feel of the RS clutch, but also the engineer in me likes the simplicity...those DMF's are just too complicated...and heavy! My god, when I lifted mine off the engine, I was suprised by its weight...

Cheers,

Mike

I recently did a LWF and really like it. I did not use locktite on any of the bolts. There didn't seem to be any on the factory bolts I took off.

There is no locktite on the factory bolts. But seeing as the assembly is spinning a LOT faster now with the LWF, a little Loctite is good insurance....

Yeah, my motor guy insists on it on every car. Tighten them all to torque spec and then back them out individually and hit with some LT.

+1 even though the loctite does modify the torque value.

By all rights the torque spec for the RS flywheel and the dumbass flywheel should differ by virtue of their length differences.
