I don't know about cheap (I'd call them 'competitive'), but Bob Grigsby and crew over at RMG in Sunnyvale are top notch. I wouldn't trust my 993 to anyone else.

RMG is by far the best that I have encountered. Among other things, they rebuilt my engine (shown below).

+1 for The Stable. They are the guys in SF to go to if you have an aircooled car.

Okay, so, yeah, I'm a 'planner'. I was thinking about where to get my 993 serviced and checked out ideally somewhere in the Bay Area on the peninsula.

It looked like RMG was a serious contender. But it also looks as though they're no longer in business...at least the web site isn't up and running. Anyone know if this is the case?

If it is, I was thinking about Rector, where I've had past good experiences with my 996 and 997 and have a SA that I like and trust.

Seems as though there are too many bad things said about Carlsen, or?

Any other recent recommendations for servicing a 993 in the Peninsula / South Bay?

Thanks!

JD

RMG's phone still works. (408) 738-2060. I just called and got their answering machine.

Looks like their website was up earlier today, according to Google's cache, as well. I'd guess they're just having some web site issues.
