WTB No Sun Roof 993
Guys
I'm looking for a mint 993 C2 or 2S without a sun roof.
I know they are rare but they are out there
If you have a lead or a car please private email me.
TIA

What? Are you some kind of 'roofist'. Man. People these days. Sorry that I can only joke around. Good luck finding one of that very rare breed.

I wouldn't pass on a good car just because it has a sunroof. If you find the right car, just get it and then you can always "delete" the sunroof later. It will cost about $3-4K to get it done.
But yeah, a non-sunroof car is great if you need the extra head room. I love mine

...as i don't like the sunroof's thick black outlines on the
roof (especially on bright coloured cars), for me it's deleted,
when it's no longer visible from the outside and the roof is
totally "clean". but it's all about optic. not headroom
for racing/helmet...

I've not sat in my 993 with my helmet yet. Hmmm . . . nah, I'll fit. I'm short. I bet folks only see knuckles from behind me in traffic.

Less weight, cleaner, cooler look and more headroom.
I personally never understood the need to have one, especially in a sportscar where weight is a concern.
Besides, I find it's rare to see a car with sunroof open, even more so a Porsche with sunroof open.

I guess I would agree about the contrast of a black "rim" for the sunroof on the roof of the car. Although for me, mine is black, so it's not really an issue.
Mine is a weekend driver and I always have my sunroof open and my windows down. Actually, I would LOVE to have a cab...I just can't handle the looks of a cab at all.
As far as weight...if your trying for faster lap times or the like, I can see weight being an issue. Otherwise, the extra weight doesn't matter to me.
When I first got my car, I did a session on a track, with a helmet. I found that the helmet touched the top of the roof (I have a sunroof). I had to kinda "scrunch down" to make it work. I did open the sunroof and that helped some.
Anyhow...best of luck finding a car.
