Default Feeler: Blue Beast Possibly for Sale

Ready to move on to the next project, so the Blue Beast may have to go. Specs below (and alot of history about this car here on Rennlist). Anyone interested?

Basics: 1995 C2, Non Sunroof Coupe. 68k miles at build start on 5/2008. Odometer was replaced when car finished with a brand new Euro KM/HR Unit. Since build completion the car has run 800km on the track (4 events – 3 Sebring, 1 Roebling Road), approx. 500 miles. Build completed 11/25/2008. The objective of the build was to mimic as close as possible a 993 Cup.

Interior: Stripped of anything not needed for the track. 993 Cup Car cage welded in, Recaro Pole Position Seats, Schroth Racing harnesses (x2), MOMO Wheel w/ quick release, Longacre Racing Mirror. All A/C and heating elements removed from bulkhead and dash. Racepak G2X Data logger.

Body: Riviera Blue, RSCS (993Cup Car) Front splitters & Wing Element, factory RS Side Skirts, Lexan all around w/ braces on rear Lexan, Doors gutted (no glass or internals exist). Porsche Motorsport OEM hood pins from 993 Cup. Car weighs approx. 2650.

Suspension: JIC Cross Coilovers w/ 10kg & 14kg Spring rates, TRG Sway bars front and rear, RS drop links, Factory EVO uprights w/ correct RS tie rods, monoballs all around including GT2 Tilt Kit (solid chassis carrier). ERP solid rear links (Camber, Kinematic, Toe). Front strut brace.

Wheels: 2 sets of Brombacher 18x 8.5 Front and 18x10 Rear. Currently running Michelin Cup Slicks with -2.9 camber Rear and -3.4 camber Front.

Brakes: Factory OEM RS brakes. Calipers custom coated in Riviera Blue.

Drivetrain: 3.8L H6 with factory OEM RSR Pistons and Cams, Dual titanium valve Springs and retainers, Carillo LW Rods, ARP Case Studs and Rod Blots, RS valves and competition head work by JB Racing in Central Florida. Motronic tuning by Protomotive (car runs on 100 octane). Crankshaft polished, Fuel Pressure regulator, Ceramic coated headers and cat bypass pipes. Upgraded valve guides, Rocker arms, Solid Engine mounts. This engine was built to last – not a stressed race motor – that would benefit from Individual Throttle Bodies and MOTEC down the road. Have dyno sheet. The car currently runs the original 1995 NVR Intake – ITBs would certainly benefit the torque and overall performance. GT-2 twin oil cooler. Enigne less than 7 hours.

OEM factory 993RS C/R Transaxle purchased 3/2007 from PMNA. Transaxle has Porsche Motorsports LSD. Gearbox has 8.5 hours on it. Also RS LWFW and Clutch assembly.

RS Shift Linkage.

Engine build by Kenny at Vortex Motor sport – the old Dave White racing in Tampa, FL. My contact at Vortex is Doug Turner or Sara Councilor.

Avg. driver runs a 2:25 lap at Sebring: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCwBhv9KrK4

Not sure what trend I started here.

Just watched mine leave my house and the country... Not Easy.

Not much different at all, actually - although a Supercup would be much more desirable.

I know, I know... :-)

I certainly don't HAVE to sell it, but if it sells - it sells... and I could use the garage space!

Wow, what a great car. I've really enjoyed reading the build up. There are some really nice track oriented 993s going up for sale recently, good thing for me my wife won't ever let me sell mine. Good luck, I wish I was the next owner (but I just bought a new house).
