Good luck with the sale Dave. If you can swing it, why not keep the 993 and dip your feet in the water with some spec miata racing this summer? I had my first Miata race last weekend (NASA Mid-Atlantic at Summit Point). The plan was to get some wheel-to-wheel experience in a much slower and CHEAPER car this summer, and then maybe throw my hat into the PCA club racing ring next year.
