Not hoping to gain anything in particular, I was just curious what the perceived benefits were of the RS clutch, if any. Since I'm not interested in the LWF, I think the standard clutch makes the most sense in my case.

I have both the LWF and clutch on my '95 and it's my daily driver (130k and counting). I've had this setup now for 5yrs w/out problems.

I like it and I'm glad I did it. Car rev's nicer and I use Mobil 1 tranny oil and the noise is limited. Actually the noise it makes is pleasant.

If your not sure, do with the stock setup, unless you want some "feel" improvement to your tranny, go with the LWF/RS approach

I have never had any stalling probs with my '95 factory fitted lwf.....having owned RS with both dual mass and lwf, there is no reason to expect the pedal to be heavier...when the clutch is new it is really quite light and just like the regular 993 clutch can get heavier as it wears.

Just got another chip from FVD to cure the stalling problem. Haven't installed yet, but the ISV adjustment procedure is worth a try too. The 993RS idle is 960rpm as opposed to the 993C2 that is 800 +/-40rpm. Get the idle speed up, and that will also help.
My RS clutch is gripping very far out (brand new), but not slipping. Is there a way to adjust this?

I have the lwf RS clutch combo in my car. I like the noise and the feel but I have to admit it did take me a while to get used to. The lighter mass makes it a bit tricky starting, especially on a hill. I would do it again though.

The main reason for 960 rpm is more because the 993 RS has a smaller generator pulley. The extra revs give some electrical generation at idle RPM.

My car had LWF/RS clutch. It was brilliant to drive and I will always regret selling it. It was pure, hard and challenged my competence as a driver; the G50/31 gear box ratios are longer in the lower gears. Was a bit buggy in heavy traffic. But the overall result turned my crank...
