the pic's from Sportec / Switzerland
Bart-- Were you asking about the physical location of the photograph's origin?
If so, note the sticker behind the left rear wheel on the bumper: Sportec.
Their website: sportec.ch.

Here are some picture I from last year when I took 911 & Porsche World magazine to Sportec who's factory is located just around the corner from our new one which we move into in 2 weeks:
A quick sneak preview of our new factory in Zurich, Switzerland just round the corner from Sportec, Rinspeed and Swissvax (Pics taken before it has been cleared out for us to move into):
I have lots more pics I've taken at Sportec if anybody is interested to see
On a separate note - Do buy Total 911 magazine this month as it is pretty much dedicated to the 993 model range and includes a great feature on a white 993 GT2 Evolution at Manthey Motors in Germany - The GT2 Evo featured is for sale for 209,000 Euro's

+1 on inquiring minds want to know...
Why/What/ How is this happening?
Why/What/ How is this happening?
- car running rich
- un-burnt fuel igniting upon lift-off during gear change
- turbo up boost + over fueling
Basically a hot exhaust with un-burnt fuel inside and upon lift-off oxygen enters and ignites the un-burnt fuel and when the gas pedal is pressed again upon moving on to next gear the flames exit the tail pipes – more common with Turbo cars.
Or one of these stupid ricer things: http://www.cruising4pussy.co.uk/stor...roducts_id/108

I routinely produced flames but they were always blue (indicating the correct mixture) and were usually (as reported to me) when upshifting. I ran a single turbo, non-intercooled, with a 3.0 engine. Downstream of the turbo was a length of exhaust pipe, bent roughly in the middle, and that served as the muffler. It exited out the left (proper) side on my 1981. What a great sound, that engine had.

Unfortunately, these are pix of our member "Jean" and his fire last year. He has a new post on the TT board explaining what happened and what he's considering doing with the car now.https://rennlist.com/forums/993Turbo...558-post1.html

Thanks for the update, & pointing us towards towards his current thread, "Go back to 3.6TT engine or fix Protomotive 3.8TT twin plug beast?"

I'll never forget the first time I was invited to one of the Tri-State Renlister's "Fun Runs".
I was behind one of the turbo cars on an interesting section of road. Because my car is considerably slower,
I was braking deeper into the corners while trying to keep up. I got pretty close to the turbo car in front of me
on the way into one of the corners. He lifted off the throttle, and a huge flame shot out of his tailpipes, aimed
right at my front bumper.
I made sure I gave him plenty of room after that.
