Big Reds will not fit on the std. 993 304mm rotors, unless a large segment of the pads are hanging out in the breeze.

The difference between standard 993 fronts and Big Reds is ~10mm height.

the difference in rotors is 18mm, 304x32 std, 322x32 RS/TT

If you do have Big Reds then the 993tt rotors just bolt on to replace the std rotors.

You will also need to do the back, here the differences are greater. the std rotors are 299x24, RS/TT are 322x28. The RS/TT calipers are the same length and height as the std 993 front, just a tad narrower and use the same pads as std 993 fronts. There are 2 versions of these big rear calipers 993tt uses 28/28, 993RS uses 30/36. If you have the suspension, tires and lsd to use the RS they do allow greater utilization of the rear brakes, that's a good thing on a tracked car.

There was a guy at the track this weekend running big reds with Alcon slotted rotors. Look like a nice setup over the drilled rotors.

Gary, if you have the standard discs, as Bill V, says you will more than likely have regular calipers,,,unless you are going to track the car hard, regular brakes work well enough....unfortunately with the weakness of the £ and Porsches drive to get cash in to buy VW, parts prices have gone up,,RS/turbo brake discss in the UK are nearly twice the price they were a year ago, worth bearing that in mind before we even mention calipers......ouch!

I don't believe so, just 993tt fronts. They come w/ new aluminum hats.

For the stock n/a 993 you can use the 930 '78-80 304x32 floating Brembos if you get hats w/ 993 o/s

Any recommendations on which proportioning valve to use on a C2 with TT calipers?

There are, but you need hats like at the front and you give up the parking brake. Geoffrey uses them on his GT2/RSR replica

The tt rear pistons are soooo small i'd go w/ no p/v, you'll want to get as much work from the rears as you can get.

Hmn, I haven't considered this option before.

Can I just remove the p/v and connect the line directly to the hydraulic unit? And wouldn't this pose a danger of excessive oversteer under braking?
