I have a question for those of you who owned S2k's before your 993's. The question being now that you've lived with your 993's for awhile would you say the driving position, mainly interior room is substantially more comfortable than the S2000's?
I have an 03 which I love but as I'm getting older, I just turned 40, and a bit huskier I want something with more interior room.

traveling home-but my beloved 633 csi-(known as Begera) 1978-grey market black on burgundy red-I had it in Hawaii for over 10 years, great car in the rain- it rained (Big island-Ahualoa area) over 200 inches in my neighborhood-big island was a gas to drive with vi gar and sticky tires-as the police have to have a blue light on their vehicles( on), at all times-you could see them from two miles away but not their radar-

I have one. A 1990 Lesabre. Burgandy inside and out, 130000KMs/80000miles bought new by my late Grandfather. It only had 85000KM/53000 miles when I became it's keeper three years ago. Reliable as anything I've ever owned and maintenance costs during this time have been less than a good night on the town. I don't worry about it getting vandalized or parking in shady parts of town. It's perfect for what I use it for.
Oh, I turn 40 in November!

Thanks for the input Timothy and don't worry 40 isn't really that big a deal. It's really just a good excuse to pick up another toy.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the S2K, I tend to like to take mine on long rides but its generally on country roads if I'm going on a trip with mostly highway driving I'm finding I don't like to take it as much as I used too however I feel with a 993 I may be more inclined to drive it even on freeway trips as there would be more room inside for me. I'm 6'3 270lbs.

The other thing that made the S2000 more of a "toy" than the 993 was it's VERY short gearing. Again, it's perfect in maximum attack mode but 80MPH had the motor humming along at over 4K. Thinking about it now, I'd really like to get another one (and keep the 993s) as they're loads of fun when used as intended (Kinda sounds familiar).

I still love mine after six years and plan on keeping it even if I ever do get a 993.
I've never had anyone call it a girls car but I did have someone describe it as "cute" once.
