Painted center console

Painted center console
I have a leather console but decided to try something which I think is different. I stripped off the vinyl, sanded, primed and painted body color to match seat backs (crappy picture). Any thoughts?
I have a black leather center console for sale, if anyone is interested. Paid $200.

I know you're doing the seat backs but if I were you I'd consider the center console too. Drop off that center console off at the paint shop as well.

Here are some more. Clearly, when I asked the upholstery shop for midnight blue they didn't adjust for time difference. I've got six (yeah SIX) different blues: Dash and doors (OEM), SW (996 marine blue), semi-faded Cab carpet blue, the lame-inability-to-match-Porsche-blue Lloyd Mats dark blue (Lloyd's "midnight blue" is a gray-blue); and top-boot. Plus, my calipers are another blue. Chuck and Mike, your use of black was sound! I do have some spot on dye from Surflex, but am moded-out for now.
The Bird was recovered, as was the brake handle and shift boot. The wire is the iPhone/iPod connection in the Bird.
Mike, you may be right about the blue. I bought a used console for $100 and still have my blue leather console if I tire of the painted one.
Thanks for the nice comments.
Chuck, I saw your CL ad when you were in Menlo. Sorry the market is bad, but your car is really nice and it's good you still have it.
